Sam began his career in the United States Air Force, serving eight years as a leader in Security Forces performing law enforcement, force protection, and air base defense operations on domestic soil and in Afghanistan. Since completing his military service, Sam has become a licensed North Carolina Certified Public Accountant and has held a variety of tax and accounting roles in public accounting, telecom, pharmaceuticals, and software development. This breadth of experience has developed interpersonal and technology skillsets that allow him to serve a variety of individual, corporate, and fiduciary clients in their tax compliance and planning. Sam has practiced before the IRS and a variety of state and local taxing authorities in defense of client tax positions and focuses his client service philosophy on limiting audit risk exposures and assessments. Sam enjoys playing guitar, camping, and spending time with his Australian Shepherd: Ari.
